Join us for one of the 4 fall classes/workshops at the Beaumont Library.
All classes are hands on so bring your camera, manual, fully charged battery and memory card.
1) Digital SLR Photography,Getting Started($95 or $85 for AAB members)
Oct.14 (Sunday 12-4pm) at the Beaumont Library
-Learn how to set up your camera, maneuver through the various menus and make necessary chages.(Resolution, ISO, WB, ect.)
-Using scene modes and what they really do.(Landscape, Portrait, Macro, Night ,etc.)
-Program Mode (P) how to utilize it to its fullest.
-Using the built in flash, tips and tricks for better photo's.
This course is suitable for anyone with a Digital Camera that has interchageable lenses , or full manual functions.
2) Digital SLR Photography Getting Creative! ($95 or $85 for AAB members)
Oct.21 (Sunday 12-4pm) at the Beaumont Library
-Take your camera off the Green Mode and learn about Apertures, and Shutter speeds, using T/V, A/V
-Shooting in Manual exposure.
-Learn about exposure compensation and how creative you can get with a couple of easy steps.
-Using different focal lengths to create varied perspectives.
-How to use a hot shoe mount accessory flash. Even if you don’t have one there will be opportunity to play and see the results of this very useful tool.
This course is designed for those who are comfortable using their SLR cameras and would like to have a bit more fun learning about the manual settings.Or anyone with a Digital Camera that has interchageable lenses , or full manual functions.
Digital SLR Photography, Getting Started is a good idea as a prerequisite, or if you are comfortable with the settings on your camera and have a good basic digital SLR photography knowledge that is okay too.
....OR for those with a compact camera or those new to digital, 2 more class options...
3) Digital Photography, Absolute Basics ($65 or$55 for AAB members)
Oct. 17, (Wed.) 6:15-8:45pm at the Beaumont Library
-Digital Definitions Explained
-Basic set up and menu maneuvering
-Digital vs. Optical zooms
-What do the dials and buttons do on your camera (a quick review)
-Play back and deleting vs. Formatting
4) Digital Photography Basics & More ($65 or $55 for AAB members)
Oct.24, (Wed.) 6:15-8:45pm at the Beaumont Library
- Understanding scene modes, when to use them and what they do.
-How to use the different flash settings available.
-Using (P) Program mode and how to get the most of it.
